Scilla

Scilla

The Diving Center in Scilla, a town at the entrance of the Strait of Messina, on the southern edge of the region of Calabria. Scilla is a very ancient town, founded in the Greek-Roman era, named in many myths and legends. At the centre of Scilla, built on a rock, raises the Ruffo Castle, which divides the seaside of Scilla in two parts, Chianalea and Marina Grande, while the upper part of the town is called San Giorgio. A vacation in Scilla is a seaside experience. In summer, you can enjoy a vibrating nightlife in Chianalea and Marina Grande.

For the evening, we suggest booking at one of the many restaurants that offer fish dishes from the local traditional cuisine, in particular the pesce spada, which is still fished by spear from a boat. For the ones wo are interest in trekking and the countryside, in the near mountain chain of Aspromonte it is possible to take part to organised tours. We also recommend to visit the many cultural points of interest like the Manga Grecia’s Museum in Reggio Calabria as well as the many historical town in the Jonian side of Calabria.
